STAR OF THE YEAR 2011
EDYE PAPP
Edye Papp D'Agostino was a "Military Brat"
moving about the country and learning to make friends and stick to her projects till done to her satisfaction.
Edye has been a Sweet Adeline for twenty-nine years, first in Connecticut with the Yankee Maids and with Farmington Valley with whom she appeared on the International Stage four times. She moved to South Carolina 15 years ago when she transferred to GSHC.
Her aptitude for tough projects has been extremely helpful to the chorus. She has taken on the Publicity and Membership chairs where she has succeeded in raising community awareness with her many articles in the newspapers, and exposure on TV, and radio spots.
Edye's fun "Guest Nights" have increased our membership by two dozen members in the past year and a half. Her follow-ups for each prospective member have made them feel welcome and wanted.
Edye also manages the chorus website and writes and publishes our weekly Newsletter. She keeps in touch with "Snowbirds members" and those who have been unable to stay on as members, keeping their interests alive while keeping them current with GSHC's daily happenings.
Last, but not least, Edye sings Bass in the chorus and in her quartet, Hallelujah. As you can see, Edye is a very busy gal, generous with her time and talent, all to the benefit of Grand Strand Harmony.
